Green Innovation Hub contest ’24

Sustainable energy Mobility Smart Living

Almere and the province of Flevoland are home to the largest area developments in the Netherlands, such as Hortus, Pampus, Zuidoever. To really build for the future and serve as an example for the rest of the Netherlands, we organised the Green Innovation Hub contest ’24.

On Wednesday 17 April, nine start-ups and scale-ups presented their digital innovative solution to make an impact in the field of sustainable energy, mobility and/or smart living.

The winner, scale-up Vennster from Nijkerk, convinced the jury this exciting Wednesday afternoon with their method and participation app, Parta. They will now implement this together with Almere residents in the Hortus and Pampus districts, creating a sustainable and inclusive living environment.

The challenges

Almere wants to work on innovative ways of generating and exchanging energy. Especially within a task like Hortus. What construction method, for example, can we use to be more energy efficient and achieve additional CO2 reduction? Do you have a digitally driven solution that can help us directly with this ambition? Then get involved!

Digitalisation and new mobility concepts are crucial to manage urbanisation in Almere. Using smart-mobility solutions and harnessing data to support the policy process is crucial. Can your solution help us take the right steps? Then join us!

Liveability is paramount in Hortus! Not for nothing do we want to create the greenest and most sustainable residential area, where inclusivity is key. But what role can homes and gardens play in this? Do you have smart solutions for this, which you do want to put into practice? Then join us!
